Not sure if anyone saw the article in the Narberth Observer on the 17th January? In case you missed it, here it is:

Press Release - New community lottery pays out £1,560 with new promoters joining for 2020.

The next promoters meeting of the Community Asset Fund for Pembroekshire is Monday 20th January 2020, 2pm – 3pm in Unit 9 at PLANED, Narberth. The meeting will be a special promoters meeting focussing on the new fund and how it will give local groups and charities much-needed funding. But the funding will not be a set grant or loan from another body but that of a 50% contribution from local people who will be encouraged to take part in a new Community Asset Fund lottery for West Wales. The local fund has distributed £2,000 to local causes to date and has already paid out prizes of £1,560 in 2019 and will be aiming to pay out considerably more levels for 2020 as membership grows.

If people would like to find out more about the great opportunities this scheme can provide to local communities and how local volunteers could earn £500 as a promoter, then why not come along to the event. It’s also an opportunity for networking and to catch up with like-minded people. Additional information about the scheme can be seen on

The idea of the fund is very similar to a 100 or 200 club but offering a wider membership and larger monthly prizes. The aim is to have 2,000 members by the end of 2021 and that this will give local charities a pot of £60,000 for their good causes. If charities bring in 100 members contributing to them per year that will be an extra £3,000 per annum to that charity. Also, there will be prizes of several thousand pounds per month.

Those interested in the new fund need to contact the project coordinator Jason Retter on 01834 860965 or on before the end of day on Friday 17th January so that final numbers are confirmed for light refreshments.
